Compilers: Creating SLR(1) and LR(0) Parsing Tables with Conflict Resolution
In this video, we describe the process of generating parsing tables using LR(0) automaton for both LR(0) and SLR(1) parsers. To this end, we explain high-level concepts and then present a concrete example. We discuss reduce-reduce and shift-reduce conflicts and how the SLR parser addresses these conflicts. Furthermore, we clarify the criteria for determining whether a context-free grammar is SLR or LR(0).
