With this painting I started with a basic 3D model made in a really old version of sketchup. I basically wanted to make a quick model for lighting and perspective purposes. This meant I could play around with the lighting and angles until I found something to work with.
I then moved to Corel Painter and imported the three layers I had saved (Shadows, shadows on faces, fog). At this point I treated the process as I would normally and began to add texture/colour, details and finally atmosphere.
(5hrs record time reduced to a short time lapse)
