Graphically Divide Complex Numbers
This video introduces the idea of graphically dividing complex numbers. A formula is derived when using the polar form of two complex numbers and finding their quotient.
Essentially, when dividing two complex numbers, the magnitude of the complex number in the numerator is divided by the complex number in the denominator. Also, the angle of the complex number in the denominator is subtracted from the angle of the complex number in the numerator. Division, like multiplication, causes scaling and a rotation.
