Mid Side Mix Down Tutorial - Logic Pro X
Designed for a LEVEL 3 Music Technology course, this is a tutorial on how to mix down a live, acoustic recording captured using the mid-side stereo technique. Music was recorded in December 2020 using an AKG C1000s Cardioid pattern and a C414 in Fig of 8 pattern.
Tutorial goes through setting up a new project with the two mono waveforms, converting the fig of 8 to stereo, avoid phasing and demonstrates how to use EQ, Compression and Reverb to polish the recording.
