How to fix usb drive not showing, no media, not recognized, 0 byte issue windows 10
Hey guys, in this video I am going to show you how you can fi usb drive not showing, no media, usb not recognized, 0 byte issue on windows 10. These errors happen due to a USB stick being damaged or broken.
Solution 1:
When you insert a UBS into your computer's slot, you hear a sound but when you go to this pc, you don't see your USB. Here are the steps you need to follow:
1. Open CMD and type in 'diskpart'
2. Type in 'list disk'
You'll be able to see your USB but the status will say 'no media'. Now close the CMD and follow the second solution.
Solution 2:
1. Right click on This PC and click on Manage.
2. From the left hand side Click on disk management.
3. Right click on the USB and choose 'drive letter and path.
4. Click on Change button and assign a different letter to your USB.
If the second solution doesn't work then your USB is damaged and can only be fixed by updating its drivers and follow
Solution 3:
1. Open google.com and search for chip genius usbdev and click on the first link (https://www.usbdev.ru/files/chipgenius/).
2. Scroll down all the way and download the latest program of chip genius as shown in the video.
3. Extract the folder and click on its .exe file.
4. Find your USB's controller vendor and go back to the website and search its program or drivers as shown in the video.
5. Extract the folder and click on the .exe file (FCMpTools.exe).
6. Your USB stick will be detected in the new window - on the right side click on Start.
7. It will do two scans - the first one will take one min to complete and the second scan will take around 3 hours to complete.
8. Be patient and let the scan to finish - one scan is done - your USB will be fixed and you can use as normal once again.
