After releasing “Kingpin” featuring Kirk Covington, I wanted to share another completely different interpretation of the same composition.
Danny and Kirk actually performed this tune together on the original recording (double drummer style - check it out on Spotify), but each brings a unique voice to the music. This isn’t about one version being better than another .. it’s about how great improvisers completely transform the same composition.
