How to clean your Dyson DC23 vacuum's filter
How to wash your Dyson DC23 or DC32's filter.
In normal use, the filter should be washed at least once every 3-6 months. Use cold water without detergent. Leave to dry in a warm place for 24 hours - do not dry the filter in a tumble dryer, microwave, oven or near a naked flame. Ensure the filter is completely dry before replacing in the machine.
Step 1. Carefully lift the machine and place it onto its side.
Step 2. Undo the fastener alongside the wheel.
Step 3. Open the filter cover and remove the filter.
Step 4. Wash the filter in cold water only. Please do not use detergent, do not wash in a dishwasher or washing machine.
Step 5. Repeat until the water runs clear.
Step 6. Leave the filter to dry in a warm place for at least 24 hours, until completely dry.
Step 7. Do not dry the filter in a tumble dryer, microwave, oven or near a naked flame.
Step 8. Refit the filter into the machine and tighten the fastener.
