How To Build A Computer Part 9: Installing a PCI Card
First off, I don't want you getting the wrong idea. There are many different PCI cards out there. Not all of them simply add USB slots. EX: Black Magic Intensity Pro is a PCI Card...its a HD Capture Card. I simply decided to add more USB slots to my PC.
So conclusion....there are many different PCI cards out there that serve different purposes. 8)
Alright, the install of these cards are really simple...just make sure when you are preparing to buy the card that you have:
1. A n open slot that is compatible wit the card on your motherboard.
Maker sure after you install one of these cards you install the drivers for the card to work properly/if at all.
