How to set up an area to run command blocks in your world (AKA: A ticking area)
~ BEFORE PROCEDING, MAKE A CURRENT BACKUP OF YOUR WORLD! ~
1. Find a suitable location. This depends on how many players you have, or if they are trusted.
I would recommend using a area that is not close to anyone or anything. Ill usually teleport out
several hundred thousand blocks. BE SURE to note down the coordinates of where you decide to make it.
I like to use coordinates that are easy to remember.
2. Open your settings, Turn on "Activate Cheats" (Warning, this will turn off Achievements, And you will not
be-able to get them back unless you go through the process listed in this short video.

3. (Optional) Enable Spectator mode under the "Experiment's" tab in your settings, if you are planning on using spectator.
(WARNING - With this enabled, you cannot get achievements back in your world. Even with the program. This
is also permanent, And the toggle in the menu cannot be turned off once its activated. However you can toggle
spectator on and off in game using commands or the method in this video.)
4. Enable "Show Coordinates" inside of your "game" menu, inside of your settings menu.
5. Mark out the chunk you want to "keep alive". You can do this by using the leaf method.

6. Get yourself a command block. Open chat menu and type in /give @s command_block
7. Mark coordinates of two corners that are diagonal from each other. Place
both sets of coordinates (X,Y,Z - X,Y,Z) into the command.
Example - /tickingarea add XYZ XYZ
You can also place the command block in the NORTH WEST corner of the chunk and use the command.
/tickingarea add ~ ~ ~ ~15 ~ ~15

8. Add all command blocks you want to always be activated in your world, inside of the marked out chunk.
See all commands and video link's above.
9. Go outside of your simulation distance and verify that these commands work when you as a player
are not actively loading the chunk you marked out.
KEEP IN MIND that command blocks are NO LONGER CROSS DIMENSIONAL! So if you want to have a command
running inside of the nether, or end, you will have to make a separate command chunk for each dimension!
