Green Hell the Game Green Hell Difficulty Trophy Skip
For trophy/achievement hunters who don’t want to deal with the difficulty-specific trophy ‘Green Hell’, there is a speed running strategy to skip most of the run. The below link is of a YouTuber by the name of EricGeeOhAte or Ericg08 who does a very good job explaining the run and how it is/was performed 3 years ago. I’ve since done it on console and, at the making of this video (October 2023), the strategy is still viable. The devs have a reaction video to Eric’s video and there are now small patches to the tree hop skip. Notably, a vertical log to stop you from jumping into the corner and making the horizontal log you jump onto last texturally invisible. This video here shows you how you can circumvent this patch and continue on your way. Of things to note, it doesn’t matter how you set up your ramp. Just that the more height you have, generally the easier it is. Otherwise, it’s performed exactly the same as Eric’s tutorial, but with your own man-made ramp for that extra height. I recommend practicing on a non perma-death run before switching over to a ‘Green Hell’ run. You have to make the jump twice for a good ending, but at least your ramp won’t de-spawn. Also beware of predators you can still be killed cough caiman cough I hope this eliminates any frustration for those who who are coming back to the game or anyone who is new to the game.
