Since Dr. Barnard performed the first heart transplant, organ donation spread throughout the country. The Marquis of Villaverde is preparing to perform the first Spanish transplant, which makes Herminia worried. When asked if she would be willing to donate an organ, she not only refuses, but, without anyone knowing, uses her small savings and buys a perpetual grave in the cemetery.
The teachers at the school where Carlos and his friends attend receive orders from the Ministry of Education to accept co-education, that is, having students of both sexes in the classroom. This provokes a reaction from the students and also the teachers when two Spanish girls, arriving from the recently independent Guinea, appear at the school. Carlos and his classmates cause a real riot.
When Gregorio Fuente, a classmate of Antonio's, is arrested for illegal association, Antonio and Mercedes fear that Antonio will also be arrested for being Gregorio's friend. The couple even thinks Antonio will lose his job at the printing house and at the ministry. Finally, Antonio and Mercedes bravely face the problem.
Inés, who has broken up with Jesús, meets with him to exchange the gifts they gave each other when they were dating. But it doesn't happen when Jesús, for the first time, behaves civilly with Inés.
Toni and his classmates are obsessed with sex at a time when sexual relations barely existed as we understand them today. Therefore, when Toni plans to organize a party at his house, a radicalized young woman criticizes his behavior. This classmate will be the one who shows him a university world he was previously unaware of, such as assemblies and police repression.
