In this video, 🎥 we will kick off our journey by setting up our project structure. We'll start from scratch by creating a new directory and initializing it with npm init. 👨💻 We'll then install our first set of dependencies which include ts-node, ts-node-dev, typescript, and express. We will then lay the groundwork for our TypeScript configuration with a tsconfig.json file and create our main application file src/app.ts. 🖥 In this file, we'll define a startServer function where we'll instantiate our Express app and handle basic server responses including a health check route and a catch-all error handler. We'll also handle graceful shutdowns on 'SIGTERM' and 'SIGINT' signals. By the end of this video, you'll have the initial setup and basic structure of an Express server in TypeScript. ✅
