Today we're going over DaVinci Resolve 16's face detection feature. Through Artificial Intelligence it analyzes yous footage and matches faces. You can then use this metadata to automatically sort shots of the same person with smart bins. This can be huge time saver for; wedding videos, events, concerts, basically anything where you're shooting lots and want to keep track of specific people.

This feature is part of DaVinci Resolve's neural network and is only available in the Studio version.

Notes:
The metadata can be found within the "Shot and Scene" group of the metadata editor. Click the list with the arrow pointing down if you don't see that option. Then under the people tab you'll see the face analysis information. It will also detect multiple people and list both names within the People tab.
If you're looking for more information I couldn't find any other tutorials online but it is listed on page 325 of the December 2019 DaVinci Resolve Reference manual.
