This is a very detailed tutorial in which I thread a barrel for a muzzle brake in real time. I show exactly how to "zero the handles" and use Sharpie markings on a manual lathe, so even beginners can easily and accurately cut threads without fear of crashing the bit into the shoulder. I show and explain the importance of doing this without using a relief groove, which can cause accuracy problems in a rifle bore if done incorrectly.

Same as my online courses, I have chapters set so you can refer back to specific parts as needed when using this as a guide for your own work.

Subscribe to this channel here and let's get started:    / @extremeaccuracyinstitute

I've started this channel as an additional way of passing on a lot of knowledge and skills to help people learn how to do all this and more. This training will be very beneficial to newer gunsmiths and DIY hobbyists, as well as for experienced gunsmiths and manufacturers.

I have been teaching in-person classes in precision rifle gunsmithing and related machining for over 29 years now (I'm still teaching these classes nearly full-time). I have been gunsmithing full-time for over 39 years, specializing primarily in extreme accuracy rifle-smithing, but now I am concentrating mostly on the Extreme Accuracy Institute training part of my business.

Not everyone is able to attend one of my classes, or purchase one of my online courses, but even though I cover far more detail in my classes and online courses, you will still definitely learn a lot by subscribing and following this channel.

Note that some of the tools and products I use in my videos have been donated or discounted to help support the training I am doing.

Let me know in the comments what other things you'd like to see a video on.

Thank you!
