How I got rid of the PUP.Optional.LiveWinUpdate Malware aka file1.exe, file2.exe, file3.exe SMSC.exe Malware / Virus / Worm

Found the following info:
W32/Sdbot-PH is a worm which attempts to spread to remote network shares. It also contains backdoor Trojan functionality, allowing unauthorised remote access to the infected computer via IRC channels while running in the background as a service process.
W32/Sdbot-PH copies itself to the Windows system folder as SMSC.EXE and creates entries in the registry at the following locations so as to run itself on system startup:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
Win32 USB2 Driver = smsc.exe
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce
Win32 USB2 Driver = smsc.exe
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices
Win32 USB2 Driver = smsc.exe
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
Win32 USB2 Driver = smsc.exe
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce
Win32 USB2 Driver = smsc.exe
W32/Sdbot-PH also creates its own service named "Microsoft Config", with the display name "Win32 USB2 Driver".
W32/Sdbot-PH may steal products keys to various computer applications and games.
W32/Sdbot-PH attempts to terminate several security and anti-virus applications.
W32/Sdbot-PH spreads to other computers by exploiting the LSASS vulnerability (see MS04-011) and backdoors opened by the Troj/Optix family of Trojans.
