TL;DR - effusive thanks to CCP Aurora who made a power point presentation to end all. I took a video with the comments alongside the rounds of voting in the slideshow she gave.
seeing this in action totally would have changed my voting strategy, since i had it almost right
bits i got right: placing the person i doubted would win, first - because they needed that first hurdle to jump over in the very first round of elimination
bits i probably got wrong: placing Mike Azariah in any place other than last, although i suppose my vote would have spilled over?

the way i understand it is that my 1 vote will stick with Meredith until she is eliminated or makes the cut (and surplus bleeds over, if proportional. whatever that means)
*special note: Styxx dropped out prior to the voting results
in round 19 "The Oz" got eliminated, so my vote preference didn't help him
in round 21 "insidious sainthood" got eliminated, so another of my lesser choices, but before meredith was eliminated (spoiler alert), so unable to influence that one.
in round 22 "meredith en thielles" was eliminated BOOO, and my vote then would have gone possibly to phantomite? (looks like my meager 6 votes went under the radar to him)
in round 24 "dutchgunner" eliminated
in round 25 "jurius doctor" eliminated
in round 29 "ikarus cesaille" eliminated
in round 30 it was pretty close between lordseco kross & phantomite with the former being eliminated.
conclusion: having 3 candidates i'd placed in my top 5 get voted in has me pretty chuffed.
my top pick that got elected is phantomite.
