Every traffic on the network and through the MikroTik Router will get a 'labeling' on the data packet. This labeling process occurs in the Firewall-Connection Tracking feature.
Connection Tracking is a feature that performs traffic management to support the needs of the network, especially the NAT process. In Connection Tracking, a listing will be made in the form of some information such as Src. Address, Dst.Address, Src.Port, Dst. Port, Protocol, and also includes Connection-State.
Currently, there are several types of Connection State that will be labeled on data packets, namely:
We can use New, Established, Related, Invalid, and Untracked to make Traffic Filtering on the Firewall Filter.
