This error message is usually seen during the initial stages of the ESXi boot process, and it suggests that the ESXi installer is having trouble loading the necessary kernel modules.
A lot of times it is a bug or incompatibility between VMWare and the hardware you are using. Here's the fix
Begin the ESXi installation process by booting from the installation media.
As the ESXi installer starts to load, you will see the boot options screen.
Press Shift + O: (usually during the boot phase when the screen shows options for installation). This will bring up a command line where you can enter boot parameters.
