Importing data in a folder and sheets in the current or external Excel file with Power Query – L0021
In Today's class, we will talk about the different challenges we can face when importing the same data from different location types. This topic came from a discussion about getting data from sheets in the same Excel file where we build the Power Query query. Power Query's user interface in Excel does not offer us a specific connector to import data from a sheet in the same workbook as the query.
We will build a solution for this scenario, starting from others we are more familiar with - connecting to a folder with Excel files and connecting to an external Excel file – using the same data, saved in the same layout.
