Meth Danger: State Police Sergeant Chad Niles and Clinton County Assistant District Attorney Douglas Collyer talk about the dramatic rise in the number of clandestine drug labs discovered in Clinton County over the past two years and the dangers of Methamphetamine addiction. Common household products are used to manufacture Meth, and a method known as "shake and bake" allows the drug to be "cooked" easily in homes, apartment buildings and vehicles. Collyer talks about treatment for meth addicts as well as the hope pharmacies will eventually use a central database to track sales of Pseudoephedrine, the main ingredient in cold medicine and decongestants used in the manufacture of Meth.
