Why doesn't the rear fog light work on a Volvo XC70?
2004 Volvo XC70. The rear fog light hadn't worked for several years.
It turned out that the left-hand-drive version of the rear fog light had no contacts for it.
This means that on a Volvo, the rear fog light is located on the driver's side. Therefore, the left-hand-drive version of the rear fog light doesn't have the necessary contacts.
We had to fabricate an additional contact for a dual-mode bulb. In the first position, it functions as a parking light. In the second position, it functions as a fog light.
