51) The ABANDONED Shore Baptist Chapel
The abandoned Shore Baptist Chapel, Cornholme, Todmorden.
Originally founded in 1777 with enlargements of the property in 1833 and 1871, and then closed sometime in the 1960's.
The property to the left of the Chapel (The old Sunday School) IS occupied so please be considerate to the neighbours.
This location is quite a way from civilisation up on the edge of a cliff in the hills above Cornholme, Todmorden.
There are a few ways up to the old Chapel, the easy way by car (although it is private property), A footpath to the right of the little river (for wimps 🤣) OR the dodgy footpath around the edge of the cliff (the way we went). I seriously recommend the wimps route, it was stupidly dangerous the way we got there.
