Your Client Process Is Killing Your Photo/Video Creative Control
A lot of my students have been in a place where they aren't satisfied by the work that they've produced. While it's easy to think that its a reflection of our skills, it's often times more so a lack of creative control. As the experts in what we are doing, we often know how to best go about creating the final product; however, our clients, who have a vision, also think they know what's best to get the final product. It's possible to find a client that gives you their vision, then trusts you to bring it to life. It all start with creating a client process that set up the proper expectations from the beginning. It's possible to set up an amazing photography client experience or filmmaking client experience while still maintaining creative control. It's all about the way in which we attract and repel and how boldly we present our expectations.
