Using a KUKA robotic arm, our group designed tools and tool paths using Rhino and Grasshopper to simulate a scenario of subtractive manufacturing on the moon. Then, through in-situ resource utilization, we are able to reuse this material to create additive processes such as 3D printing and milling. This one-week intensive workshop was presented by the Material Topology Research Lab from Technion, Israel and took place at the Confluence Institute for Innovation and Creative Strategies in Lyon, France.
