In this fast Canva tutorial, I’ll show you how to create clickable checkboxes in Canva using Canva’s built-in Generate Code feature — perfect for interactive planners, to-do lists, worksheets, and digital PDFs ✅
I start by going to Elements → Generate Image → Generate Code, then enter this exact prompt (you can copy it from here):
“I need a clickable checkbox. Just the box with no title. It needs to be on a white background. I need the outline of the box shape to be black.”
Canva instantly creates a clickable checkbox. From there, I show how to crop and resize it on the canvas, then duplicate the checkbox and add text beside each one to build a fully interactive checklist.
This method makes it easy to create digital planners, habit trackers, task lists, and fillable worksheets — all directly inside Canva, no extra software required.
