Provides a quick overview of the Printable Documents feature and the screen details which includes Header and Details tokens plus the custom document tokens.
This video also provides an example of some of the application's user interface and how the user can leverage platform features like menu quick search box and user alerts.
A data menu is available at the top left of every Data Table control. It contains options to Create, Update, Delete, Export and bulk Import of records for a given Grid View. The availability of these actions will depend on the configuration of the functionality and access level granted to the user. Records deleted are logically removed from the list but they are not deleted physically from the database, this allows the opportunity to recover them in case a record was deleted by mistake.
This video also shows the form data validation and the message the user receives when missing a mandatory field when submitting the form. This message is also stored in the user alerts dialog for future reference.
Besides the basic data actions there are also additional functionality that can be linked to the grid view by using this menu. In the example displayed in the video, the "Printable Documents Tokens" feature is called from the Data Table menu entry. Short help and description is also provided by hovering over the menu item.
Quick example on data filtering capabilities. Users can use the quick search field at the top of the Data Table to make simple searches and use the column specific menu to build a more elaborated filter which also allows to change the sorting of the data.
