Fixing the Fallout Pip-boy 3000
While the Fallout 4 Pip-boy Edition made a great collectible and was a fun way to interact with the game, it had several limitations. Unless you had the right sized phone, it didn’t fill the screen. The buttons were prone to breaking, only two lights lit up, and once the phone was inside, there was no way to push the power or home buttons. In this episode, we paint and modify the model to light up fully and have working buttons. We also add rechargeable batteries and modify the stand to charge the Pip-boy. Not shown in the video, I added a needle from a watch to the Geiger counter.
