Pokemon Black & White - New Game, First Pokemon, First Battles
One of the first differences players will notice in Black and White is that you begin the game and immediately have the option of which Pokemon you want to choose as your starter (after a quick speech by the two rival characters).
Once you pick your Pokemon, you are immediately challenged by Bianca, who chooses the starter weak to yours.
After your battle with Bianca, Cheren will heal your Pokemon and then challenge you to a battle himself, with the starter which is strongest against yours.
After these two battles, you are free to begin the game.
