In this quick EmberGen tutorial you'll learn how to properly loop simulations and prevent common issues you may face. You can follow along by using the default scene in EmberGen.

1:29 Repeating Simulation With Automatic Loop
1:51 Looping your Simulation
3:49 Common Issues
4:22 Testing your Loop
5:30 Addional Looping Information

Useful hotkeys & tips in this tutorial:
*"Spacebar" to pause simulation
*"R" to reset simulation
*"CTRL + R" Force reset simulation outside of the looping bounds, this is imperative!
*To properly loop the simulation, go to the simulation node -: Time Control tab and then set looping mode to "Loop Simulation". Keep Dynamic Blend selected and Quintic is generally the best blend curve to use, but experiment as needed.
*Is your loop jumping on the last frame? Ensure that you aren't using Upscaling, Turbulence, Vorticles, GPU particles, or Shape Particles as these features are not supported.
*Utilize our flipbook exporter to preview the image based loop in the software.
*You can set loop bounds by right clicking the pink selector in the timeline as well.
*The first frame is always inclusive, so if you want 128 frames for the loop, and the first frame is frame 128, the last frame would be 255 instead of 256.
*You can do math in your paramter boxes, so for instance 128+128-1 = 255. (Starting Frame) + (Number of Frames for the loop) - (1 for inclusive framing).
