Explore Remote Desktop Connection from Ubuntu 12 to MS Windows
Have you ever wanted to remotely connect your Ubuntu desktop to a windows computer. This video demonstrates the use of the Remmina (Remote Desktop Protocol) client in an Ubuntu 12.04 desktop connecting to a set of Microsoft desktop operating systems including Windows 7, Vista and XP. Microsoft Remote Desktop Protocol is enabled on Windows 7, Vista and XP computers. Remmina is installed in Ubuntu 12.04 by default so no additional software has to be installed on either Ubuntu or any of the Windows machines. Virtual desktops are used in this video though what is presented here works equally well with hardware computers.
