Creating a Layer Mask in Final Cut Pro

I haven't had much success finding tutorials to teach you how to custom masks in FCP so I decided to make my own. This technique will help you separate the sky from the foreground or isolate virtually anything you want with multiple videos or video integrated with photographs. For my tutorial example I separated the sky of a still photograph to insert the video timelapse of a similar sky.
