AMDs upcoming AM5 socket will switch to an LGA type socket. Up until now, AMD has used PGA in their mainstream desktop offering, going back to the original Athlon. In this video I will show the differences between LGA and PGA and explain why AMD is making the switch for their upcoming Zen4 CPUs.
