Coral at Night: Unique Timepiece
The dial was inspired by the brain coral whose complex geometry was astounding. It also meant a more challenging design & manufacturing process.
We filled in the gaps with lume including a thin layer on the cut plate to ensure the entire dial shines at night. Thus, lumed hands are not required as the time can be read clearly at night.
The hour markings are animal cut-out of fauna found within the marine territory of Mauritius. We wanted to get the visual effect of water currents, as such, we placed them in one of our molded rings, thus creating a more dimensional look.
The strap contains a lumed pattern of the brain coral including the Amazonite, Apatite, Turquoise Tiger Eye and Silver Obsidian.
