Panasonic Eneloop batteries are my favorites. About $20 for 8 pack now on Amazon. You can charge them full and put them away for years and they will keep their charge for up to 10 years (have never tested, but I read on internet so all is good). Eneloops are what I use for all AA & AAA batteries. I use the original and not the Pro version.

Maintain up to 70% of their charge after 10 years (when not it use)
