Sonic Wave // Cyclic // (Extreme Demon) | Geometry Dash
Description:
After 6,536 attempts, so much agony and rage, and a dumb fail at 87%, I finally completed Sonic Wave by Cyclic.
This is hands down the worst experience I’ve ever endured in this game by far since Decode to Bloodbath. 7 whole days of pain would be endured. I don’t really want to explain how fucking terrible this level is, but I’m going to. After beating Auditory Breaker, I was like “I am lazy and don't want to learn another level so how bout I do Sonic Wave?” I fucking regret this dude. Well, let’s go through this fucking level:
0-8: Literally ok, like idk what to say for this part, It’s not bad, its not good, Idk. The 1% yellow orb is overrated lowkey.
8-18: Easiest part of the level. Simple ship gameplay. The only bad part about this section is the last click of it.
18-28: This ball is the hardest part of the level by a long shot. The first click is not bufferable unlike Auditory, and the 22% SECTION OH MY GOD its so bad. Every click in that section looks bufferable to the naked eye, but no, it’s not. Every click is a timing, and this is the section I died to most in the predrop. The dual ball also fucking sucks, and it is very inconsistent.
28-42: The drop is very consistent. It got more consistent later on, but for some reason, I died to 36 a whole lot due to there being unnecessary invisible slopes that kill you if you are too close. Sometimes I hilariously died to the dual that came next, and idk why Im just that bad.
42-50: FUCK THIS PART, god, it is literally terrible. Now, I didn't mind the roller coaster section but OH MY GOD IT WAS 49. 49 killed me so goddamn much from 0 and it is literally the hardest click in the level in my opinion. 49 is like trying to jump over 5 skateboards at once.
50-56: It’s basically free. Not bad except I died at 54 3 times for some reason and 56 twice, but yk, it’s not that bad.
56-65: Again another free part. I found this really funny secret way though where you just don't hit one of the pink orbs and hold down to the next section. I encourage anyone to use it tbh.
65-71: HUGE HUGE PLACE TO CHOKE. I only choked here a few times, and my friend Twisted kept saying I should use the double click strat, but everytime, It messed up the end and this actually happened from 0 at some point, I hit the speed portal falling down too quickly and it can mess your run up heavily, but yea. The dual again, is literally free.
71-76: The hardest wave part of the level. There is a lot to discuss about this part because of how MANY TIMES I DIED HERE FROM 0. I really never minded the first few clicks (which are supposed to be the reason this part is so hard). It was just sometimes I would choke at 74%, and well,It’s a blind click literally so I have to just blindly do the timing which sucks.
76-88: A free wave section. Never died here from 0 anyways so yeah, it was pretty free in the end. The cube section is free also, BUT MY DUMBASS DIED AT 87 BUT WE OBVIOUSLY DON’T TALK ABOUT THAT
88-100: Oh my god, this part just is so difficult from 0. I’m genuinely still in disbelief that I fluked the last wave because I was so scared I was going to die at 93 or 94, and those clicks are really really hard, like they are not easy clicks, but this part isn't that bad except if you have crazy nerves.
And that’s my opinion on Sonic Wave. Now, I still have things to say. This has been my biggest mental challenge I’ve ever faced so far in my Gd career. Never has a level made me this mad and upset since when I was doing Decode to Bloodbath. This level just has some of the worst balancing and the worst clicks known to man. It just has such awkward gameplay and it frustrates me because of that, and I mean I was so mad at the level that I lowkey just blocked Cyclic on GD LMAO. I’m glad I don’t have to play this shit of a level anymore. I still dont understand how the fuck this took me only 6k like thats literally my lowest attempt count on an Extreme Demon now. I still can’t believe that I have beaten this level. I have always wanted to beat this, and I’m so glad I have it as my hardest now. I will now return back on the Silent Clubstep Grind since I’m done with this level.
