I spent less than 100,000 rubles on all the devices. Of that, 32,000 rubles went to the smart lock and about 35,000 rubles went to the light fixture. The remaining relays, hubs, etc. are very reasonably priced.
My conceptual goals were as follows:
1. Avoid using switches altogether. Everything is controlled by voice or automation.
2. Seamless synchronization of important devices in Alice and HomeKit, so that both systems can be controlled simultaneously. I'm completely in the Apple ecosystem, and I consider Alice the best voice assistant in Russia and planned to use it specifically for voice control. 3. Scenarios that will allow me to automate routines like turning on the lights and underfloor heating in the morning, turning everything off when I go to bed, preparing for a movie, etc.
I did all the wiring myself. The setup took a few days. There's nothing complicated about it. However, for maximum automation, it's advisable to prepare the apartment for the project. For example, my cup holders under the light switches are deep – 65 mm, instead of the usual 45 mm. This allows me to install a two-channel Xiaomi Aqara relay there. Or, for example, I have two of the same Xiaomi Aqara relays installed in the electrical panel, controlling the underfloor heating and the heated towel rail.
I hope you enjoy the video. I understand that the sound and video quality at the beginning could be better, but I hope the content outweighs this.
