This is a tribute piece to my 80s favorite law enforcement cyborg, Robocop. I wanted to illustrate that while Robocop is considerably smaller than his opponent, he is actually overpowering him and and has the upper hand in this battle. ED-209 was modeled in Maya and Robocop was modeled in XSI. Both characters were posed and rigged. Textures were done in Photoshop. Rendering was done in Maya using mental ray and composting was done using Nuke. The color pallete was chosen to resemble the original movie. Final shot was put together using Premiere.
