But alongside all this progress, a 3,000-year-old system exists. A system that determines who your friends are at school, who you're allowed to date, and what job you'll get later. And that's despite the fact that it was actually abolished over 70 years ago: the caste system. The hierarchical classification of people according to Hindu beliefs. This ancient caste system is currently experiencing a real hype on social media.
