Google Glass was hyped up as the technology of the future. Innovation and new technological advancements made the product seem like it was the salesperson of the future. But instead, it was a marketing failure. The dream of Google Glass was to create a futuristic wearable technology to help consumers. In reality, Google Glass played a role similar to a tablet. It let users do tasks like searching the Internet, checking messages, and looking at photos, which people normally would have done on their phone. Google Glass served as a supplementary product to people's phones. Its high price tag of 1500 dollars and weird design meant that it really had no value to consumers that could afford it. These consumers could purchase the latest smartphones, and have better technology than Google Glass, and usually at a cheaper price. And that's why Google Glass failed.
