If Octane for blender is not working, or you got render server at 127.0.0.1 error
You just need to install octane carefully, not to run into problems like:
Octane add-on not showing up in blender preferences
No render server at 127.0.0.1
Render server at 127.0.0.1 is not activated
1. download both files octane for blender and OctaneServer prime from here https://home.otoy.com/render/octane-r...
2. install both of them
3. register and activate octane server
4. activate octane add-on in blender preferences
5. restart computer and activate octane server again before using blender
after every restart, activate octane server again and also check if octane add-on is activated in blender preferences.
keep in mind that you need to open blender version where you have installed octane. mine is in this directory C:\Program Files\BlenderOctane\blender.exe
