The Mavic 3 Pro is quickly becoming the fan favorite for content creators and drone pilots worldwide.

When we first learned that DJI was going to launch yet another Mavic “3” we have to admit, we were a little skeptical, however this drone is nothing to be skeptical about.

As we continue to demo the amazing features included with this drone, we are going to take a look at one that all of you creative pilots out there are going to love known as “MasterShots”.

Before activating this feature you will need to launch the aircraft at about a recommended 6 ft off the ground.

While in camera view of the DJI Fly App, on the right hand side, select the shooting mode icon.

Using “MasterShots" enables an auto function that will allow you to choose a subject such as a person, tower, vehicle, or structure, and once selected it will lock onto this target inorder to keep your subject centered in the frame.

After Selecting “MasterShots” drag your finger over your target.
You’re going to want to make sure to select your flight range first then tap Start to enable recording, the drone will then take automated flight for several minutes and once completed the aircraft will return to its starting point.

We went ahead and tested this feature while we were out at the “FDS Training Center” and here is what we got.

“Quickshots” is part of the “MasterShots” sub features and it includes a variety of shot styles that are preprogrammed in order to help you capture cinematic looking shots.

The variety of shots are as follows:

The “Dronie'' shot will lock the camera onto the subject while ascending at about a 45 degree angle.

The “Rocket” this is when the camera is pointing 90 degrees down while ascending above the subject.

The “Circle” this shot is when the aircraft circles around a subject.

The “Helix” shot is when the aircraft spirals around the subject while ascending.

The “Boomerang” this shot is when the aircraft flies in a ascending oval shape then returns to its starting point while flying backwards

The “Asteroid” this is when the aircraft flies backwards while ascending, taking several pictures before flying back to its starting point.

The video starts with a panoramic view that slowly descends closer to the subject.

Some of the benefits to using this specific feature are

“Time-Saving”: With “MasterShots”, you can create captivating videos in minutes, sparing you the time-consuming task of planning and executing complex flight paths manually.

“Professional Quality”: This automated flight ensures smooth and professional-grade shots, even if you're less experienced in drone piloting.

“Dynamic Sequences”: with this “MasterShots” feature a sense of diversity will be added to your videos by helping capture your subjects from different angles, elevations, and distances.

Overall, using “MasterShots” is an intelligent flight mode that creates a great opportunity to level up your drone videography by automatically creating captivating video sequences in just a few taps.
