The Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) is one of the leading military and police procedural genres of all time. The show started back in 2003 as a spinoff of the popular JAG series.
NCIS became a instant household favorite with likeable characters such as the jokester Tony Dinozzo and loyal agent Timothy McGee. We dare not forget the stern but effective leader of the pack agent Gibbs. Most notably the love story between Tony and Ziva was one of the best written and executed and the chemistry between Cote De Pablo and Michael Weatherly truly captivated audiences.
Its amazing to think that it is coming up on 20 years since this T.V. series started and just how many people this show has touched over the years. Since season 7, NCIS has been the most watched scripted show on American television; in the 2012–13 season it was the most watched program of the past year, surpassing both American Idol and NBC Sunday Night Football, which had ranked above it the previous three seasons.
