Welcome to Day 5 of our Backend Development series! Today, we are deep-diving into the "batteries-included" part of Node.js: Core Modules. Understanding these is the difference between writing "just code" and building production-ready applications.

In this video, we break down the four pillars of Node.js core modules and how to keep your application secure using environment variables.
1. The fs (File System) Module
Learn how to interact with your computer's files. We cover:
Reading and writing files.
The crucial difference between Synchronous (Blocking) and Asynchronous (Non-blocking) methods.
Managing directories and deleting files safely.
2. The path Module
Stop fighting with forward slashes (/) and backslashes (\).
Using path.join() for cross-platform compatibility.
Extracting extensions with path.extname().
Resolving absolute paths with path.resolve().
3. The os (Operating System) Module
How to let your code "talk" to the hardware:
Checking free memory (os.freemem()).
Getting CPU details and system uptime.
Identifying the host platform (Windows, Linux, macOS).
4. The http Module
The backbone of the web! We build a basic server from scratch without using any frameworks like Express.
Creating a server using http.createServer().

5. Managing Secrets with .env Files
Security is non-negotiable. Learn why you should never hardcode your API keys or database passwords.
Installing and using the dotenv package.
