I installed Linux desktop in my Tablet to continue coding
🚀 No Laptop? No Problem – Linux on an Android Tablet! 🐧
In this video, I show you how I turned my Android tablet into a fully functional Linux desktop environment using Termux and Termux:X11.
I didn’t have access to a computer for two weeks, but the Linux itch was too strong—so I decided to tinker and set up XFCE4 on my tablet. The result? A surprisingly usable Linux machine in my hands.
💡 Along the way, I’ll cover:
Installing Termux & Termux:X11 (why NOT to use the Play Store versions)
Updating & installing basic packages (with a little hacker-movie vibe)
Setting up XFCE and configuring resolution/fullscreen
Adding useful tools like zsh, nala, starship, kitty, neovim, and more
Customizations, nerd fonts, and plugins for a better experience
Limitations (no sudo + aarch64 quirks) and how I worked around them
