The test involved copying the Fortnite game directory (71GB, large and small files) from an Intel 660p 1TB drive to a 70% full SSD drive used for testing.
BX500 - 377 seconds
MX500 - 172 seconds
P200 - 178 seconds
CX400 - 401 seconds
less=better
At the time of publication, the P200 is the most cost-effective SATA drive available. The MX500 has the advantage of a longer warranty (3 vs. 5 years) and approximately 3x faster write speeds when the partition is encrypted with VeraCrypt (330MB/s vs. 101MB/s). Please note that this is a very demanding write test; in the read test, the performance differences are negligible in everyday use.
