How the Foundation of the World's Tallest Building Was Built?
The Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building with 163 floors, is twice as tall as the Empire State Building and three times the height of the Eiffel Tower. The concrete used for its foundation alone weighed a massive 110,000 tons, and its construction took a staggering 22 million work hours.
So, how can this over-800-meter-tall skyscraper withstand wind speeds of up to 240 km/h? And how was its incredibly strong foundation built?
