Pay-off! The part of a deal everybody is waiting for! Be patient and calm.
It is very important to do it over the phone. You don’t want to sound desperate because you will make them run away. Make it feel like no deal and always have an apologetic manner.
You could always ask if they would accept an offer, and if they do, you could ask them what is the least they can take. Let them know that once they give you a number, you will make an offer. And that is it.
