I walk through how I turned Edgar Allan Poe's The Raven into an iOS visual novel using Ren'Py, a Python-based framework that let me lean on a decade of data-science coding to ship an app. I show where the manual work lived — formatting, wiring up images, and hand-aligning a public-domain voiceover in Audacity line by line — and where Generative AI actually helped, generating the scene art in Midjourney. I also cover the practical tricks I used to work around Midjourney's trouble with hands and human features. It's a candid look at a human-in-the-loop mix of manual coding, algorithms, and AI.
