I Spent Almost All My Savings on My New Ship, So I Bought This Refrigerator on Installments
Hello, dear friends ❤️
Today, I brought back the foam boxes containing my personal belongings that I had temporarily stored on a fellow captain’s ship after selling my old cargo ship.
After unpacking my things and changing clothes, I went out to buy a new refrigerator for my new cargo ship
This time, however, I decided to purchase it on installments because my husband and I have invested almost all of our savings into buying this new ship. There are still many important tools, equipment, and personal items that we need to purchase before the ship is fully ready for daily life and work.
To be honest, this ship feels almost empty right now. It is a fresh start, and little by little we will build it into a comfortable home and a reliable working vessel ❤️
Later that afternoon, the refrigerator was delivered to the dock. Only one delivery driver arrived with the truck, and he kindly asked my husband to help move it. My husband happily agreed, but the refrigerator weighed around 97 kg, which was simply too heavy for two people to safely carry down onto the ship.
At one point, my husband even slipped and fell while trying to help. Thankfully, he was not seriously hurt.
Earlier, there was also a small accident when the refrigerator tipped over and fell onto the ground while being moved. Naturally, I was worried it might have been damaged, but the delivery team assured me that it would be covered under warranty if any problems appeared later, which gave me peace of mind.
Eventually, two additional workers arrived from the store, and together they successfully moved the refrigerator onto the ship safely ❤️
It may seem like a simple appliance, but for me it represents another small step toward building a new life aboard this vessel.
