Mohamed Ahaddaf's Oud music echoes in Jerusalem

A talented and unusual quartet performed at the International Oud Festival held in Jerusalem in November 2014. Under the leadership of Moroccan-Andalusian oud player Mohamed Ahaddaf, the cosmopolitan quartet – comprised also of Israeli pianist Avishai Darash, Italian percussionist Francesco Bongiorno, and German-French bass player Stephan Reidl – was greeted with enthusiasm by the audience in Jerusalem, a city used to the creativity produced by a mixture of cultures.
